We are about to launch a new web service that will connect ALL members in all board communities and will encourage people to engage in conversation and friendships and would greatly appreciate your input on this, since the logo and the service is, after all, for you.. Smile

We want our logo to reflect the spirit of the site: A fresh and friendly platform for enabling individuals to better form and maintain online communities revolving around all the message boards out there.

So in the spirit of a new and fresh Intenet community based service, which of the three logos do you like best?

Feel free to also include your thoughts and ideas about your favorite logo.

Final touches and color changes may be applied.

Note: you need to login (or signup - its free!) before you can vote.

I'm new to the board...I have a special sensitivity to color. I'm including some information I think is useful for your consideration.

Roughly 1 in 20 people have some sort of color vision deficiency. The world looks different to us. We often find it hard to tell red and green things apart. This often means that we sometimes can't see things that people with nornal color vision can see. (My wife tells me you are using red and green...otherwise I wouldn't have known).

I don't know about others, but my interest level is often higher if I can "see the colors" and when they are missing or as you would describe them...muted, I'm less prone to pay attention or be motivated to "click."

Many pictures, documents and web pages are hard for color blind people to read because the people who designed them didn't think about this problem. Vischeck lets graphic artists and website developers check their work for color blind visibility. It is also interesting to anyone who is just plain curious about what the world looks like to someone who is partially or completely color bliind

This is not "folklore" it is science born from the research of two men with a PhD in psychology and an MD in Ophthalmology. Both men are senior research scientist at Stanford and experts in their field.

I recomend reading this site carefully and using the knowledge gained to enhance your logo, graphics and general navigation design on your site.

As a color impaired person and for all those who also share this handicap, we thank you in advance.

Thanks for the opportunity to give my input.
Great forum...I plan to visit regularily

Hi proview
Yes. We are actually aware of the color deficiency issue.
However, there is little we can do about it besides giving a lot of meaning to the shape of the logo as well as it's name.
I looked at the site you linked to. quite interesting. Although, running many of the most popular logos out there, most of them come out quite ugly looking Smile
